Great news. I thought there was a natural way to control blood pressure instead of taking drugs. I have been monitoring my friend's blood pressure with the blood pressure calculator and things are getting out of hand.

Elena was born on February 8th at 39 weeks and 1 day! That was our scheduled c section date, and we made it! She was 8 lbs 2 oz (much bigger than we were expecting) and we're both doing great. After surgery we were in the hospital for a standard 3 days. My blood pressure was elevated, but blood work good and no proteinuria or edema. I had some serious anxiety that I had not anticipated, triggered by being back in the hospital, and I think the nurses thought I had come unhinged. But really, after a traumatic first pregnancy, the smells, sounds, etc. combined with waiting for something bad to happen is something I should have expected. So, for anyone else who found themselves dealing with echoes of PTSD, whether or not your pregnancy/birth was complication free, I think that's completely normal. Don't let anyone make you feel bad! Now 1 week after birth my BP is really good, and I will continue to monitor it over the coming weeks. We are so pleased with how things turned out, and just wish we had an explanation for what the difference was between the two pregnancies. I wish I could attach a picture but it keeps telling me the file is too large! You'll have to take my word for it that she's beautiful. ;)

Tammy,
How are you doing? I hope your BP came down or is behaving on meds.

Dang it. 3 days pp and my blood pressure is high. Should I go ahead and call or give it a few days to see if it will work itself out? I guess I have the weekend to watch it and see

Ended up getting induced on Tuesday morning. I was starting to swell up and my blood pressure spiked. Since we were officially over the 37 week mark she decided tk just do it now and not risk anything. Maddox made his appearance late Tuesday and he's perfect and healthy. My blood pressure is back to low 100s/50s. It only stayed high for a few hours after delivery and slowly went down

My blood pressure is completely back to normal. Well not my personal norm but below then140/90s. Why must it confuse the crap out of me!? These fluctuations are really getting the best of me. I'm just ready to be done.
