Wife in Hospital with Pre e

I grew up near Boston, and my sister lives in Acton! The parking is outrageous in that city[:0]. So happy to hear that Feisty Cate has taken her next step towards getting home! Isn't it amazing how determined the little ones are to move around, one little boy in the NICU my son was in kept getting himself stuck in between the isolette window and his little bed. The nurses had to keep an eye on him, he looked like he was trying to escape! (He finally did escape, healthy and happy home with mom and dad same day as my son, Parker's first friend!)[8D].

It is amazing what these little ones can do in those isolettes. Funny stuff. They really arent saying what the time frame is. She got to the local hospital today, I was a nervous wreck, kept thinking somthing bad was going to happen on the ride. The bottom line is they eill keep her in the Isolette for 48 hrs becasue they are afraid of anything that Cate may have carried from Boston and then she goes in a crib. As soon as she keeps her temp up in regular clothes and eats 100% on her own she comes home. I dont think it will be long she is nursing like a maniac and usually falls asleep but that is getting longer as the days go by. Acton is a great suburb I live in Braintree on the South Shore. Nice and quiet. These little ones really do battle dont they? I am just so amazed. Last week it was talks of a collapsed lung and a chest tube and now its lets get ready to take her home. WOW!!!

Good news. Our little angel Cate came home on wed last week!!! She is doing great!!!! Born 4lbs 12oz now at 5lbs 12oz after 3 weeks. She still has a tough time staying awake to eat but she is doing fantastic. Moms BP is still a little high and I am getting concerned over that, The MD says 3 weeks to a month before it will go back. Met a great couple at SS hospital under same circumstances and it was nice to talk to another couple going through same thing. You are all great keep up the good work. I would like to attacha picture of Cate but not sure how to. Any one have any istructions??

Oh, your little girl is home - HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you and your wife!!! I can only imagine how thrilled you must be!!!!!!!

I pray that your wife will recover quickly, some women are left with lingering bp issues - just adds insult to injury in my opinion [}:)]...

Here is a copy of a post from Ileana about how to attach a picture to your user name:
