history of PE, can I act as a surrogate?

Postby expert@preeclampsia.org » Tue Nov 11, 2008 03:05 pm

I had pre-eclampsia in my first pregnancy and my son was born at 28 weeks. I then had my daughter full term and naturally. Would there be a risk of preeclampsia again if I were to surrogate for another couple....ie carry someone else's eggs and sperm conbination?!

Thanks

There is an increased risk for the development of preeclampsia in any pregnancy initiated with assisted reproductive techniques.
