It is appropriate that your doctor is concerned. Concern is the correct word - not panic. This could be the first sign of a potential problem. On the other hand it could be months before your BP rises further.

I went to the doctor yesterday and my BP was 142/70. Normal for me is usually about 118 or 120/68 or 70. My doc is having me come back in a week to recheck my BP - and if it's higher he's going to start me on meds. At what reading should I become concerned? Do people's BP's fluctuate at times, or does it look like I'm on the road to pre-e? He said that all my urine tests have been perfect to date. By the way, I'm 23 weeks and 5 days.
