When I was pre-eclampsic, I had sever neck pain on the right side of my body. I could not even turn my head. Once i had the baby I was fine, could this be the so called "shoulder pain"? Just wondering because I thought I just had a really bad stiff neck.

This probably is the so-called "shoulder pain". Swelling of the liver can cause irritation of the diaphragm, and the nerves that receive sensation from the diaphragm also receive sensation from the shoulder. This is known as "referred pain". Part of the neck is covered by the same nerves as well.
