Golfing is relaxing and something you can do together, we are learning how to play, so sometimes its relaxing and others it is downright hilarious. Good luck

We like to "date" again, go out to dinner, romantic walks, just talk, look at the stars (well, that's a rarity where we live). Also, cooking meals together, board games, card games, and just sitting there enjoying what the other loves to do (e.g., he makes something with his hobbies, and I with mine, and we share).

We also like long drives, and just listening to music.

Hope that everyone here enjoys being in love until they are 90 y.o., and beyond!

We haven't since we moved, but joining a softball co-ed team is fun...ALso, in the winter we try to go snowboarding together,,I like the outdoor activities like hiking and stuff because you can do a lot of talking. Another great thing to do is try to plan a weekend getaway...even if it's at a hotel near you. My dh did this one weekend in Denver and my mom flew out to watch the kids. We slpet in, had breakfast in bed..went to a non-kid friendly resteraunt:) Also we like to play tennis....

We are really kind of boring too. We play board games or card games together, watch vidoes, dine out, take a drive, we just fishing-well he fished and I read, whatever we do we are always together so the only thing different would be if we had a babysitter then we would just be without Victoria

Ryan is teaching me how to play the guitar... which is actually totally romantic, because I like when he plays, and sings to me, and then I pretend to be learning, but I'm really just trying to amuse him the way he amuses me.... I've already decided I will never ACTUALLY learn. For some reason, it's hard for me. I bought "Guitar for Dummies" and couldn't understand...sad.

Last summer, we took SAILING lessons together which was a TON of fun. This year, he promised to teach me how to play tennis. I'll let you know how THAT goes.

Good Luck!

We are boring. We play on the computer different word games with each other....We also like to watch television without having a 2 1/2 year old pick the show...

haha, I nag at him and he listens. Just kidding, he doesn't listen at all. [:D]

I think we're going to give camping a try this weekend. My mom picked up mondo camping gear for us at garage sales and I think we're going to give it a try, just for the reasons you describe. Eventually, we want a vacation property to spend weekends on, with a cabin or camper or whatever when the kids are grown, but we need to practice now!

couple activities

Postby youtan » Fri Jun 24, 2005 10:56 am

Ok - not THAT activity... [;)]

My question is simple really - what do you and your spouse/s.o. do together? My husband and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary in Dec. We sat down last night and thought about the fact that since we both finished school, had kids, started our careers, we have less and less time for just us. We dated 3 yrs before we got married and were married 3 yrs before kids. Thats 6 years alone. Then grad school and preeclampsia entered our lives - can we say stress, stress, and more stress.

So, now we miss each other and are hoping to find an activity that we can do together, kids not included, alone, letting us talk. A hobby perhaps or sport...chinese checkers?!? Hopefully not horribly expensive...something we can do when we're both 90 yrs old [:p]. Do you guys have any great ideas?
