I sent in a request last December to be on the show to talk about Preeclamspia. Well, I guess they are having a show about knowing about your family medical history, and they're having a segment about Pre-e. I got a call today saying they want me on the show! I am so excited to be telling my story and how serious a disease it can be. I can't wait to do it!

OMG! That is fabulous! I love that show - so many people watch it. What a great way to spread the word. I wish I had seen a show on pre-e before I delivered. I had never even heard of the disease. Keep us posted!!!!

We have been in touch with the producers for the last week or so. They are actually looking for a very specific profile - see my post here http://preeclampsia.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36131. The good news is we have had some good discussions about the need for a more in-depth piece on preeclampsia.

As always, we appreciate any efforts people make to secure media coverage and public awareness of preeclampsia. We encourage you to do that kind of outreach on your own -- and representing only yourself -- and then suggesting the Preeclampsia Foundation as an authoritative source on the topic. You should alert the PF office to any opportunities that we should follow up on, particularly if you feel you've secured some interest and could use some back up support. This is especially true for national media opportunities.

I'm not suggesting that Jenette didn't do the right thing - maybe your outreach sparked some interest!
