Thanks for the info, Alviarin! I'll look into that book!
As for Dr. #1, she did get back to me a couple of days after Dr. #2 (and multiple calls from me). She said my results came back as progesterone level was 2.8 (she says normal is 7), and both my FSH and Thyroid were normal.
At this point, since both doctors seem to be following their own textbooks as to what levels are normal, I'm just going to go see a fertility specialist; someone that has thrown their nose into the books and studied nothing but female hormones and reproduction and yadda yadda.
I'm just really frustrated at this point as I don't feel I'm really getting any answer to correct the problem. Hopefully the fertility specialist can shed some light and get rid of these shadows!
In the meantime, I've been looking up various natural, and safe, remedies to bring my progesterone levels up. I've read from a number of women that grapefruit juice can help... who knew. So, I'm drinking that daily. I'm also looking into vitamins, either creams or capsules, that helps to stimulate the production of progesterone.
I took anther ovulation test this morning, and it said I was having an LH surge. But my body is showing no other signs of ovulation, so I think it's one of those things where my body is having an LH surge, but no follicle will burst and no ovary will be released. It's also only day 8, and I just finished my menstrual cycle on day 6.
Argh! I'm such an organized person and this disorganization in my body is killing me!
