It is bear season around here and there have been some remnants left on our road. Not to mention that the undergrowth here grows atleast waist-high if not more so a bear could be beside me in the ditches and other than noise/smell, I wouldn't know. Anyway, Britt wants me to start carrying my 357! lol I'm not sure I'm that scared. But he and his friends seem to think that it would be large enough a callibur at close range to make a blackie think twice.

And my mother has been suggesting I carry a squirt gun full of ammonia for the charging dogs.

So, I can just picture it...a short, chubby woman walking down the road in the early AM with a double hip holster, 357 on one side, squirt gun on the other! [;)]
