Hi, everyone! I just joined the site tonight. Wow-- you seem like a great group! I am the mother of Hannah, a 26 and a half weeker born due to severe pre-eclampsia. She weighed one pound, one ounce and was in the hospital almost four months. She's doing great now. She is behind in speech and gets speech therapy twice a week. My doctor said the speech delay may not even be from her prematurity. Her previous doctor had delayed referring her for tubes in her ears, although she had a constant ear infection for about a year. She could not hear and I knew it but he thought I was over reacting. Anyway, we have a wonderful doctor now who studied at the university where Hannah was born. I'm so happy to be in this group!
