I on the other hand, would go nuts as a stay at home mom. In fact, when I was staying home part time with Alex (while pregnant with Mason) I actually spent less quality time with him then I did when I was working.

A lot of it is simply personalities, some people operate better in different enviroments. Personally, staying home every day would and did drive me to be crazy and depressed. I needed another output for myself each day which I wasn't getting.

I have met people who can't beleive that I would even consider working when I have children (let alone start law school and another career), but what they don't seem to understand (simply because they were so unbending they didn't want to) is that by doing that it made me happy and me being happy meant that I was a better mom then when I was home and miserable.

I think the whole debate over which is better is pretty stupid, because the studies aren't done correctly. What needs to be studied is how children with mom's who are HAPPY with their situation do versus those that are unhappy do.

Lucky you for having a network of friends and family to count on. As for us, it's me or daycare for Jai. Made it easy for me to choose. ;o)
Though I do miss working, if that's what I should call it...being a radio dj joking, talking, was more like a daily party :o)
But I still wouldn't trade it for being home with my lil' Jai.
Every morning it's my name she calls when she awakes...I melt!
Best job in the world (to me)!
Send Samara my luv.

Hola' chicka'.
So Jai is going M,W, in a few hours I'll be here crying my eyes out again :o(
But she's fine- go figure.
I might try to go shopping while she's at school and see how the other half lives ;o) There's a sale I can't pass up at Mervyn's.
So I'll update when school is out.
Good thing it's Friday, two days to recover before Monday :op
Sending my luv!

I couldn't agree with you more!
I for one love being at home! huge homebody.
My mom on the other hand...Sometimes I wonder if she'll last throught weekend at home with us.
I've learned how it takes a special type of person to do either.
Ya' gotta' do what works for you - right?!
Congrats to you for having a happy balance with your busy school, work and home life! How do you do it?! ;o)

Day 2!
Well how can I put this...
I got a kiss, and a goodbye.
Then the teacher gave me THAT look, like..are ya' going now? Or is this gonna' be another mommy linger day??? [B)]
So I left.
I about died on the spot.
So like any girl with emotions, I shopped.
Boy was that weird. No chasing Jai, playing hide and go seek under clothes racks, and no tantums for unnessasary goods.
I of course shopped for school duds!
She's gonna' style next week.
Ok- so she's eatting snack! You heard me- EATTING SNACK!!!
but she's not a juice drinker so the teacher gives her water which she loves.
And she used the potty 2x with no help!
Did the whole 9 yrds solo!
She didn't even want to leave!
And she has friends!!!
I got a social butterfly!
So blah blah blah...
She's just amazing!
My proudest moments!
Thanks for holding me up this week as we close on a great note!
Now if only it can rub off on the others...her older half bro got suspended his 2nd day of 1st grade!!!
So time to focus on other things and let Jai just grow up.

Lots of love to all!

Aww,'re gonna' be fine. (; Jai sounds like she was made for preschool! What a big kiddo!!! But at any rate, I do feel your pain. You want your kids to be happy and have a good time, but at the same time, it KILLS to learn that they don't need you EVERY second, like we always thought. ): Noodle started CHEERLEADING this weekend ~ and I almost died watching her, the little She will certainly be the death of me come high school....(;

So sorry to hear about your step-son. Maybe Jaiden can give him a good talking to....

On to week TWO, right??? Good Luck!
