Saving Grace was spectacular. I'd like to thank the Academy...
...no, really.
Thank you so much to everyone who works on behalf of this organization, whether by serving on the Medical Board or the Board of Directors or by moderating or by fundraising or by writing in to nominate me for an award or by coordinating a gorgeously thrown party.
Fiona, Catherine, Laura, and all of the moderators share a committment to sharing credible, peer-reviewed scientific information in a transparent and accountable fashion, and I'm grateful to them all, to Leslie and the Board of Directors who facilitate this work, to the researchers who move our understanding forwards, to all who commemorate the lives of our babies, to all who raise the funds to keep us in the black.
See you all in Chicago.

Meg! I thought about bidding on that movie role - you have to let us know how it goes!!! And why didn't you come over?! We would have loved to meet you!!!

Chicago? SWEET...that might be doable for us!

I, too, was so glad to get to attend SG. It was amazing to meet in person those of you that I've only known before Sat through the computer. You are all inspiring to me! (although I wish I could have spent more time with you). There is truly a special spirit among those of you women who are moderators and volunteers.
SG was a wonderful event - as the other posts say ... but my sincere appreciation to Eleni, Jill, Lauren (whose story is so powerful), Tom, Leslie and the Board, and the rest of the whole team who obviously put sooo much into making it happen!

Re : Saving Grace: Reports back
I have to agree with all posted..I attended last year in Boston and it is such an amazingly emotional yet wonderful night. I wish I could have attended this year...but due to the pregnancy it was best I stay home. Chicago is NOT far from me either if in fact that's the spot they choose and I'd love to show up with MY success story.
I'd love to know how much was raised as compared to previous years as well.

It was a powerful & emotional evening. To the moderators that I was able to meet, it was an honor & privilege.
Congrats to Eleni and her "crew" for a flawless event!
And YES, SG '09 is coming to Chicago (Jill Siegel is chair)!
Thank You to all who were able to attend!

The event was amazing and truly moving. I ran out of kleenex by the second speaker. I was at a table with other women, including Pat Etheridge, the one who developed the video that we got as gifts, and who is a friend of Elizabeth Cohen. I was the only survivor at the table and they were eager to hear my story and how I was affected. I don't often share my story, I cry too much, but it was great for others to see how our experience stays with us and becomes a part of us. And regarding the auction - great items! I won the bid for the movie walk-on so I'll be sure to let you know when I make my Big Screen debut (I'll probably end up on the cutting floor but that's okay.) A wonderful evening!!
