Preeclampsia Awareness Walk-a-thons - Mothers’ Day Weekend
Local Organizers Needed – Make a difference
For the 4th consecutive year, the Preeclampsia Foundation will hold its national “awareness day†walk-a-thons on Saturday, May 10, 2008 (Mothers’ Day weekend). This series of events has quickly grown to be our 2nd largest funding source. If we are to continue growing, funding more research, and disseminating more information to educate more women, we need volunteers to help bring the event to more cities and towns across the country.
If you are interested in organizing a “walk†in your area, please contact me at jtviall.execdir@preeclampsia.org. We will send you a CD with everything you need to know, literally from A to Z, to run a successful event. In addition, we will have monthly conference calls for walk organizers to provide expert support as you move ahead in the planning process.
Please help us reach our goal of at least 30 awareness walk sites in 2008 with a fundraising goal of at least $150,000.
We can make it happen . . . one site at a time!
