Given the online nature of the Preeclampsia Foundation(the "Foundation"), it is impossible for the Foundation to verify that all of its members have legitimate preeclampsia-related concerns and are motivated by the best of intentions. Please keep in mind that an online community provides an environment in which those with deceptive motives and intentions can co-exist and interact with those of us who adhere to higher moral standards.
As with all your internet interactions, remember: DO NOT PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL IDENTIFYING OR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE YOU MEET ONLINE AS THERE ARE NO ASSURANCES THAT THE INDIVIDUAL WITH WHOM YOU ARE INTERACTING DOES NOT HAVE FRAUDULENT AND DECEPTIVE MOTIVES AND INTENTIONS.
The Foundation is doing everything possible to maintain and protect the integrity of its website for those with legitimate preeclampsia-related concerns and wants to continue to provide a safe place for those of us who have been affected by preeclampsia to interact. The Foundation must remain true to its mission and cannot afford to be distracted by someone posing as a legitimate member. I want to encourage the Foundation's legitimate members to post and interact freely, and to let basic common sense prevail when interacting with someone you meet online.
Thanks for your understanding.
