Discovery Health National Body Challenge!

Hey, ladies! I know a bunch of us are struggling with losing the pregnancy weight, and many are probably like me - struggling to lose the weight that was there in the first place! [:p]

This is a pretty cool challenge being put on by the Discovery Health Channel. Check it out; Dh and I are thinking about doing it...who else is in??

It's funny that you mention this. . . dh and I joined weight watchers today (the online version, since getting to meetings is nearly impossible for us). I would like to lose b/w 15-20 pounds before #2. I am hoping to be successful!!! This would just go hand in hand I guess.

i also just saw the commercial about this neat challenge. i am bummed to find that we don't have a participating store in our area. oh well. keep us updated with your weight loss!
i had great results with weight watchers. i lost 26.5 lbs. last year and really enjoyed the program. i may give it another try to get a few more pounds off! good luck with it. if you can make it to some meetings i found them helpful. i really needed the support and accountability. it sounds like you will have that in your dh so you guys should do great!!

Alison, I also had great results with WW in 2001...making the meetings isn't an issue, but making the payments is! [:p] Dh and I will start couting points again after New Year's, but it's Sooooo hard w/o weekly meetings to hold me accountable.

I also belong to Curves - I haven't been in a month, due to illness and holiday scheduling, but it is so fun, and I can't wait to get back to it.

i know what you mean about the ww payments. i didn't mind when i was losing but when i lost my motivation i hated paying to gain weight. i also got tired of weighing in a feeling guilty each time i was up a bit. i still believe in the program and will do it again. maybe our chatting about it now will give me a dose of motivation! good luck to you as well.

I think I am!
I've been looking for something healthy I can do to lose weight [or at least feel better!] and since I'm breastfeeding many diets are out of the question, but this looks like I can do it!
Eep. I'm almost afraid to admit my starting weight! :P

Unfortunately they didn't have any locations near me and Adam worked on Saturday so even if there was one, he couldn't take me. :
Oh well. On a weird side, I've lost about 4 pounds, just eating all the junk holiday food in the house, so I can start my diet. Go figure!!
