Hi Lucy,
WHEW! I am sure that you were scared. I'm glad the cough isn't anything awful.
Hang in there with the spit ups.

Lucy,

I am happy to hear that her cough is getting better. Genna was a "spitter" too and I did A LOT of laundry with her. I had to put her on soy formula as breast milk and the milk formula did not do well with her at all. Hope everything evens out. I can remember the first days with the little ones well.

Her cough is better I think it probably was just her clearing everything out but with our history it def sent me into a scary mode, but she is still sptting/throwing up a ton the Dr suggested giving her about a teaspoon of water after each feeding to wash the milk protein down and see if that helped but it seemes to make it worse if anything. I have tryed keeping her upright fater her feedings too but that normally doesnt help either she spits up in the process of being sit up or sometime after, we are going through so many clothes even with keeping a bib on her and burp rags handy I am gonna further discuss it with the Dr at her 1 month check up, shes 3 wks 3 days already!

Lucy - I'm glad the tests are coming back negative. I hope Sarina doesn't have reflux, but if she does, there are many ways to help cope with it. Malcolm had/has it very badly, but he's always continued to gain wait. I know some doctors don't worry about reflux if a baby is gaining weight and looks healthy, but it can still cause the poor little ones to be uncomfortable and cranky and there are some wonderful medicines that help so much.

I am glad to hear that so far all tests have good results. Marisol had reflux once we converted to formula and we had to use special formula - it worked, but boy is it expensive! HOpefully Sarina is just going through a spit up spurt and will be back to eating (and gaining!). Sounds like she is growing like a weed!! You should be proud of her (and you [:)]).

Sounds good so far Lucy. Hang in there and keep the fluids going into your little one. I remember Emily got sick so bad once and vomited almost constantly and how scary that was. Get as much rest as you can. ((hugs))

Thanks for thinking of us and the prayers, Sarina is exclusively breastfed and she is vomiting/spitting up alot more than she was (about 8 out of 10 feedings) she goes back for her follow up tommorow, they havent gotten all the tests back yet but the ones that have come back have all been negative thank goodness and I am hoping the rest of the results are in by our appt tommorow, we think she may have reflux anyhow I have to make this quick so we can get to bed I just wanted to update. Thanks again.
