Did anyone get preeclampsia during delivery? if so, are you trying to fall pregnant again? are you having problems. I've been trying for over a year and still no luck...

I got eclampsia during delivery. We are not yet trying to get a baby, i'm not sure we ever will. My husband do not want us to go trough another pregnancy, beeing scared of what migth happen, and he is really afraid of loosing me and Andreas' mummy.

My mother and my grandmother had preeclampsia. My grandmother had eclampsia (seizures) with her first and lost it. My mother miscarried her second, my younger brother at 23 weeks and he died. My mother had 7 pregnancies and 6 live births. With every child she developed high bp at at least 37 weeks. My grandmother delivered 4 children in 5 pregnancies and had high bp at at least 34 weeks every single time (just like me).

I suggest, if you can, that you interview your maternal relatives and see if you can get some idea of your potential history. Preeclampsia is such a scary scary disease that it is often comforting to be "armed" with knowledge.

btw, I had two children, but I had my tubes tied with last c-section as my husband felt the same as yours. Good luck.
