preemie girl cold weather gear

Does anyone have a baby girl currently at or below 5lbs that would want a preemie fleece 'snowsuit'?

I got one for Cam because she was cold all the time, she wore it twice, and now I'm ready to pass it on, but I can't bear to donate it. I'd rather see someone here get it. Any takers?

Nope! However, I do have a bunch of adorable girl preemie/early baby outfits that Lucy wore (5 lbs/ October baby) that never saw the light of day for Chloe as she was high summer, and lived in a onesie. They would be pretty suitable as late winter, early spring further North than AR. I'd be happy to pass them along to anyone who could use them.

Laura, if you don't have any takers, what about donating it to your NICU for them to give someone...I'm sure someone going home in February w/ a tiny one would appreciate it!

Donating it to the hospital is a great idea! I know when I had my 2nd daughter, it was such a hectic time, I had no clothes for her to wear. My mom had to go out during the time my daughter and I were staying at the hospital, and buy practically a whole wardrobe for her first couple months of life.
I bet somebody at the hospital would really appreciate having a snowsuit actually fit their baby during the really cold weather.

Actually (Norlisa, jump in here!!) we are encouraging our ladies to donate baby clothes and gear to the PF (for funds for their state chapters) and then for the state chapters will hold a baby sale. You can donate these items to us and receive the full market value of the item as a tax deduction (depending on your tax status and other variables but you can sure try!) and then the PF will be able to make some money that will go to fund research, public awareness projects (brochures!!) and local support programs.

Hi Ladies (especially our PF Coordinators),

I'm jumping in, per Anne's request. Yes, one of her (many great) ideas is to collect baby clothes and gear and then sell them at a baby sale--proceeds going to PF. As Anne said, one incentive is that it would be a tax deduction for anyone who donates clotes, gear, furniture, etc.--along with the knowledge that you're supporting PF programs. We would also need volunteers to help us organize, collect, price these items and put them on sale. This is a big project, and also a good way for members to get to know each other. Any help would be appreciated. Hope to hear from many of you soon.

Glad you responded to this one. I wasn't sure where we left it [:)]. Just to clarify, are items to be donated sent to the local state chapters or to the nat. office?
