Blue Breast Milk! Have you seen it?

I kid you not! I pumped last night for the first time in a while and it was the color of Crest only lighter! DH and I were shocked. And guess what? It is normal!!!!! I am sure that some of you that pump regularly have seen that (Catherine?). But, wow I was about to call Ripley because I didn't think he would believe it! After 4 kids I thought I had seen it all.

So, fyi, blueish milk and yellow milk is normal. Go figure.

Yup Nancy, BTDT. I've also managed something the color of a strawberry milkshake when my nipples were so cracked that they bled everytime I pumped [:p].

Nancy, I am just convinced it is that blueberry blow pop that you have been 'nursing'. [:D] When I pump blue, I now know its normal! lol I wonder why blue though?? HMMM??

Sherry, do you remember non-homogenized milk? We used to have it at home in Ireland. "Top of the bottle" was a cheap substitute for cream. Pumped milk left to settle does just that, it looks like whey on the bottom and has a layer of cream on the top that would tempt you to stick your finger in! Breastmilk is incredibly sweet too.
