"Alyssa came into the world four weeks early, just like her brother Alexander, but is doing wonderfully. She and I came home from the hospital August 27th. We feel so blessed that she is healthy and here with us! Wer would like to thank everyone for their prayers on the safe arrival of our new daughter!:)"

My water broke around 10:30pm on th Feb 26th and after a ton of Pitocin and being in the hospital for 13 hours, Aiden was born!I am so happy to say that my BP's were under control through labor and delivery so no Mag was needed and I've been fine so far in the 2 weeks postpartum. Aiden was very jaundiced when he went in for his 72 hour checkup, however he's doing great now!

Diagnosis: Preeclampsia, HELLP SYNDROME, Placental abruption
Status: After several days in NICU she is home and growing beautifully

Lindsey was born at 35 weeks due to the above. The plan was to induce but I guess I became allergic to ampicillan (sp?) on the day I was induced (I had just had it 2 wks prior with no problem) I had an anaphaleptic attack and went into shock. Lindsey then had no heart beat and an emergency c-section was performed. Thank goodness because her placenta had an abruption and was black from where it was almost dead. Her apgar scores were 1 at 1 min and and only a 4 at 5 min. Scary birth but I am thankful to have her.
