Man, I was thinking of you guys this weekend at Costco--- I almost got one of those huge packs of the Magic Eraser just thinking about you and Sherry, Michelle [:D] I managed to restrain myself just in time- but Walmart, here I come! T, I need to get some more of that Resolve, stuff, too, thanks for reminding me! I'm always such a sucker for a gimmick...

Had to add my two cents...

Dawn Reslove ... It's for pots and pans... It's great!!!... I use it to clean my stove top - no scrubbing just let it sit for a few mins and wipe off. Gotta love it...

Not avail in all area's yet. I sent my mom home with a few bottles...

Ok, taking it up a notch but there isn't a molecule of carpet in my house...... I love my Hoover Floormate. Now I can actually wash floors and have them dry before a zillion kids and a cat can make muddy tracks through the post-wash puddles. It might just be the one acceptable appliance gift out there [:p][:o)].

BTW... I bought it for myself as a christmas gift. The only one I got (naming no names-useless husband unit) [xx(].

Since we are on the topic....I LOVE clorox wipes! My kids can clean with them. My boys use it to wipe down the toilet (and floor) when they...ahem...aim???

OH, my, I swear by that magic eraser!!! Awesome indeed! I will use one a week just walking around wiping off the walls, effortlessly!! Hey anything that can save my elbow grease, I am game!!

And the fridge....my fav spot to use it. Has those little grooves that you can never get clean enough....not a problem with this!

My mom teaches preschool at home, so, unfortunately, she is no stranger to things like this. She has something similar to what Laura suggested. It's called "Desolvit", and gets things like gum, play dough -- you name it -- out of anything. It's safe to use on skin and hair, so I'm sure it would be fine on carpet.

Good luck, Mada!
