Wow, it has been a long time since I have logged into this site, it used to be my lifeline to info a few years ago when my daughter had PE and almost lost my precious grandson. I decided to log on and see who is still around that I know and it was AWESOME to see so many familar names of ladies I had come to know back in 07 & 08!
For those of you that remember I am Drakes grandma and I am happy to report that he is a adorable 2.5 year old who still brings our family so much joy! He still battles lung issues whenever he gets a cold due to the ventilator causing scar tissue, but home neb. treatments bring him around quickly. He has also developed asthma, which the ped. says is normal for someone who was born with immature lungs. Other than that he is strong and healthy and right on par with all of his growth and development milestones.
My daughter Beth is doing okay, she is still battling diabetic retinopathy and the dr's have been able to save her eyesight so far and we are all very thankful for that. She broke her leg 5 months ago (dirt bike accident) and she ended up gaining 20 lbs due to inactivity so her blood pressure has started to rise, so she is on meds to control that to protect her kidneys. Her Type 1 Diabetes is under good control so hopefully when she loses the extra weight now that she can exercise again maybe her BP will come down and she can get off the meds!
I wish I could upload a current photo of Drake, but I am not sure how to do it. I will have to get my hubby to update our old web page and post photos on the site after Thanksgiving.
I had a complete hysterectomy last May due to wicked bad Endometreosis. I am thankful I had the GYN take out everything b/c the pathology report on my uterus came back as precancerous, so I was super happy to have caught that B4 it grew into something horrible! I am on the mend and doing awesome with bio-identical hormone replacement therapy from a compound pharmacy. Hotflashes are not much fun, but so much better than dealing with painful Endo!
Thats about it, I have enjoyed reading a lot of the current posts from those of your that I know. Take care everyone and have an awesome Thanksgiving!
