This is not at all a flu vaccine debate, I promise! What I am needing feedback on is this: Nicholas (11 mos old) has already had his seasonal flu vaccine. We most likely would have gotten the H1N1 vaccine if his doctor's office would have had the preservative free version for his age, as that is what they usually give infants and young children--but they didn't have it.
My dilemma is that it looks like the health dept does have the correct one, but I kind of don't want to bother if supply could be an issue when it comes time to get the second shot (the booster). Plus it seems like the big wave of H1N1 has gone by, though I realize it is possible for it to resurface.
Thoughts from some others that are considering or have already had their children get the vaccine?
