"We left the hospital on Sunday, April 20, with a brand new baby, but no Candace," said April.

The three women participated in "Saving Grace, A Night of Hope," a fundraising event held in Chicago in October, and they will continue to do things to raise money and awareness.

Pre-eclampsia occurs in about 5-8 percent of pregnancies, and globally, it is responsible for about 76,000 maternal deaths each year.
