When I happened to have my cholesterol tested during pregnancy as a requirement for my workplace health insurance plan and the numbers came out extremely high (308 total, triglycerides 155) compared to my normal 175 total, I asked my peri about it after my pregnancy. He said it was normal for cholesterol to go up in pregnancy and never mentioned anything about super-high increases being linked to PE. I can't believe he either does not know this or didn't share the info. He works out of the state's supposedly best high-risk OB clinic, too.
Perhaps I could have been better monitored because this would have been a sign that I might be headed for PE.
