"The findings were published in the March issue of the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis."

"Inherited thrombophilia has been linked to obstetric complications such as severe pre-eclampsia, abruptio placentae, fetal growth restriction, and stillbirth. On the basis of retrospective data in this study, patients with recurrent pregnancy complications may be good candidates one day for proteins S and Z screening. However, these tests are not currently available in clinical practice and there is no evidence that such screening would prevent these complications."
