I was test for a gentic link too, but not that one. I was test for Lchad which I don't have Thankfully. But that is still a very interesting article

My grandma had it with my dad, and my cousin's wife on the other side had it with her first and third pregnancies. So I assume it runs in my family somewhere, most likely thru my dad's side, but not sure if that's a strong enough link.

I am the only in my family that has had it. Wonder how they would link us to the gene, maybe we are the freak accidents in the study? LOL!

My new doc said that my sister does in fact have an increased risk of getting it. She also said when my brother has children his wife has an increased chance. Since she told me this I have met one set of sister-in-laws that both had it. Was the husband/brother the link? Who knows. I am the first in my family to ever have it.

I thought this article was interesting except that no one in my family ever had pe.
