That is too funny! Of course, now it is, but at the time you must have been peeved. My hubby was the exact opposite... He was right by my head and didn't want to see any of the action. He caught a glimpse of the "aftermath" of my poor beat up privates after they had whisked Evan away and let's just say he was mortified...

Thanks Julie, T, Allison, Norlisa, and Carol! I am still feeling very excited about yesterday. I know all to well the importance of a good doc. My last one was so crummy! Megan's birth was such an exciting time (even with the PE), but my good memories are tainted with the bad ones of that doctor. He was a real JERK! [:(!] (He was not my reg OB)

Allison, I couldn't keep my hubby with me last time. He was too busy wanting to see what was going on. I kept telling him that I needed him, the baby didn't care if he was there or not. SO I can totally see him delivering the next one. I will just have to get my mom to come in and hold my hand. [:I]

Carol, I am not sure if he would be willing to be cloned. I'll have to ask him next time I go in. [:D]

Would your OB/GYN consider being cloned?[;)]

I am SOOOO happy for you, Amanda. Although pregnancy and childbirth is so memorable in itself, having an awesome doctor makes it even better. Yay!

That's wonderful news! Glad to hear that the doctor put you at ease. May your next labor and delivery be just what you want!! Your husband is a brave man should he be "down" there for the delivery. My husband stayed up by my head. NO WAY did he want to see what was going on...[:0]

I am finally home. I met with my new ob/gyn this am. I had a checkup in Jan, so this was just a get-to-know-you visit. He was really good. I had a list of questions a mile long and he answered every one of them. He has handled lots of pe cases, so I am comfie with that. He gave me an "official" diagnosis, severe PE with early onset of HELLP. He was so patient and double checked just to make sure that I was completely satisfied, when I said I was he said that he had more time if I needed it. WOW! SO I really liked him. He is very nice and told me that he understood it was my pregnancy and that he would do everything he could to let me make the decisions. He said whatever I wanted to do was fine as long as it was healthy for me and the baby. He even said that my hubby could "deliver" the baby even though lawyers frown at that. He gave me about a 25-35% chance of reoccurence. He also said that he would not have done anything differently last time (that made me feel a ton better). He also put me on some prenatal vitamins that have the fatty acids or whatever in them, said that was extremely good for you. He then gave me lots of free samples. Oh yeah and he said that any time I wanted to pop in and hear the heartbeat, check my bp,or whatever it was fine. They have an open door policy. He would rather I came in and be able to relax about it then to sit at home and worry. He was just GREAT! It was just a great visit and I am VERY satisfied. In ways I can not wait to have a baby just because I know he will be wonderful!
[:D][:D][:D][:D] Thank you so much to all of you for all of your encouragement. Sorry if I rambled I am just so excited to have found a good doctor!
