Congratulations on your new job. You will be excellent. There is nothing like a nurse with the knowledge, technical skill, life experience and compassion. Good luck with the HPT. Waiting for that +++ is sooo hard. Baby dust all the way to North Carolina[;)].

Really hoping this is your month, hope to hear some wonderful news after this weekend, what a great 4th celebration!!!!

That is wonderful about your NICU position. I agree with Elizabeth, every baby and parent who gets you as their nurse will be blessed. You have some so special to offer. Congrats!!!!

I'm crossing my fingers for you! How wonderful to be a NICU nurse, that was my aspiration at one time(i'm only an CMA/EMT). It will be amazing for the parents of the nicu babie to have you there, not only are you probably a wonderful nurse you will also have first hand knowledge of the experience. People like you are a rarity, I am so happy you are there for others.

I hope this is your month!! I got a -- with this one too when I first tested. So, then I went out and bought 2 more packs [:I]. 5 tests later... 2 lines appeared...

Congratulations on accepting the position in the NICU. You will be incredible, those babies and mommies will be so lucky to have you!

I hope AF stays far away and that the 4th brings you LOTS of "fireworks..."!

Well, I'm on cd 27 and no af.........sounds good right? Well, Wed. am I woke up at 1am puking my guts up---and kept on for 18 hrs!!! Later that morning (cd 25 of a usual 26/27 day cycle) I thought I would do an HPT and it was negative. So, I thought I would be starting af anytime. I usually have spotting and cramping a day or so before I start, but nothing has happened. I was due to start af anywhere from thurs-sat.--so maybe hpt was too soon? I used one that is supposed to show up 3 days before a missed period (only 58% accurate 3 days before--more accurate as you get closer to start date). Or could this nasty virus I had thrown my hpt off or thrown my cycle off? I'm such a pessimist--I'm not even thinking that I'm pg--it's easier to not get disappointed that way. If no af by Sunday--cd 29--I'll test again.

On a more positive note--I accepted a postion in the NICU as an RN. I will start sometime in August--it's up to my current nurse manager when she can let me go. I'm so excited! I shadowed there one day and knew it was for me!

Alyssa is sleeping now, so I will try and take a few moments to catch up on some posts!
