Kim, I just had my IUD removed two weeks ago, it was no big deal. I've had worse blood draws. it was very fast, like less than 10 seconds. I did spot for about 5 days afterwards but my cycle just kept on going. you can get pg right away if you are O, since the IUD is just a barrier method.

good luck! let us know how you are doing :o) I am using fertility friend.com and the FAM method, so are many other people here. I wish you all the best! You are very brave!!!!

Kim,

I just wanted to echo what Elizabeth said. I also had my IUD taken out recently, and it really was SO easy and painless. The doctor just poked around for a second (completely painlessly) and then said "there it is!" and held it up. I was like, "that's IT?". He had pulled it out and I hadn't even realized it! I hope that yours goes just as smoothly!

Like Elizabeth also said, you can get pregnant RIGHT AWAY after having it removed, depending on where your cycle is. I got my IUD out on May 26, and I'm now 6 weeks pregnant. (I O'd only a week, maybe 2, after getting it out, but you can O the day after and still get pregnant). I hope that you have the same "luck"! [;)] So be ready, just in case!

Good luck tomorrow!!
