bathing/showering when TTC

I am totally a bath person-showers dry up my skin soooo badly. But I've heard that water, heat, and soap all destroy sperm. So it makes me wonder, is it ok to continue taking baths when I'm ttc? Does a person go without for a day or two and just do a quick rinse with a washrag (eew...kinda gross and stinky!) LOL..
I'm just curious. At this point I've still been bathing (though trying to keep it short and not super hot), but maybe that's my problem, and a reason why we haven't been successful yet (?)
Our first son was born and passed in Feb of 2010. Born at 29 weeks due to HELLP and passed due to NEC. We miss him every day. :~(

Our second son was born at 39 weeks gestation in Nov of 2011. No HELLP or pre-e! Took LDA starting at week 12 and went off of it at week 38!

I found this... not sure how reliable it is though.

Personally, I would think it is fine, but then again I don't have an MD....

It's fine. But if you could discourage DH from taking baths (showers are fine), that wouldn't hurt, although none of my fertility doctors were especially worried about even DH taking baths.

What I did, for my own "peace of mind" more than anything, was take baths at night, before "trying". It probably didn't/doesn't/won't make a difference, but sometimes it is kinda difficult to even "try" when you aren't in the mood, there was no way I was going to take a bath after. You may or may not want to shower the next morning, I figured by then whatever sperm were going to be strong enough to make it to the egg were well on their way, anyway.
