My hubby and I have been using preseed when TTC..but my question is, after ovulation and during the 2ww, is it ok to go back to using KY, or should a person continue to use preseed? I know preseed is more sperm friendly, but I didn't know if the ingredients in KY would be bad for TTC after ovulation...(we prefer the consistency of that to preseed...and the expense!)

Our first son was born and passed in Feb of 2010. Born at 29 weeks due to HELLP and passed due to NEC. We miss him every day. :~(
Our second son was born at 39 weeks gestation in Nov of 2011. No HELLP or pre-e! Took LDA starting at week 12 and went off of it at week 38!

I would wait a few days after ovulation to be sure that you really ovulated. (For example, if you are temping, 3 days of rising temps is considered confirmation of ovulation. If you aren't temping, I'd give it about 5 days just to be sure.) Because KY and other lube can/will kill sperm which is not very helpful if there might still be an egg around for them to catch. After that, it's fine to use whatever.

I am about 4 DPO..I just wasn't sure if it would be bad for a fertilized egg or something. (Or bad for things before implatation)...heh, if I were lucky enough to be at that point anyway.

4 dpo should be fine, the only reason lube is bad is because it kills sperm, it won't hurt a fertilized egg or anything.
