nervous after miscarriage

Hello there,

I had a miscarriage last June, and was torn when it happened. I have 2 children, 1 6yrs old and the other 4yrs old. When I found out I was pregnant, I had no support and had to hide it from many. The doctor himself called me at home to confirm the miscarriage after the blood test. He delivered it by saying good news. I am nervous, as my husband has said that he may be ready to think about trying again. I fell like again it would need to be hidden, and am ashamed to talk to the specialist because they were so judgmental. Has anyone ever found themselves in a similar situation?

I'm so sorry about your miscarriage! I would drop that specialist and see a different one- you should be able to start ttc again with as much information as you can from someone you trust.

I agree with Kerisue find someone else. You have enough stress you need a team of doctors you feel comfortable with. I saw 2 MFM's and 3 OB's this time around before I decided who I wanted to care for me during a next pregnancy and Im not even pregnant yet! I am very sorry for your loss.

Dear mymiracles2. I too feel that I have to be secretive about ever trying for another baby. that's why I come on this forum to express how I am feeling and how torn and afraid I am of how another pregnancy might turn out for me. I am also thinking that the doctors will think I am crazy for wanting another baby. I would also be afraid to tell my mother as she suffered greatly when I got sick and wasn't able to sleep at night as she thought I was going to die. I feel that people are in judgement of me and that I should never dream of another pregnancy. I think your doc was highly insensitive saying your mc was good news. PE sufferers need support and understanding, not this kind of treatment. I wish you well on your journey and hope things work out for you.xx
