What dr do I need to see BEFORE I get pregnant again?

We are considering trying for our 2nd baby soon after our son was born to pre-e and HELLP last fall at 30 weeks. I have heard that I might need to be seen by specialist prior to conceiving if possible. Anyone know what type of doctors are recommended? I want to get a better understanding of my condition and see what all I can do to help this pregnancy.

Any advise on this would be great!

Most folks here who have had preeclampsia in a prior pregnancy see a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist, also called a Perinatologist. Search around the forum, you'll see some good lists of questions to ask. Good luck!

Kerisue is correct! You can try www.smfm.org and use the physician locator. I would search by state rather than specific city because the search function seems sort of twitchy when the terms are too narrow. I would start with an MFM specialist, and they will refer you (if anything they see warrants more eyes) from there. Best wishes!
