I have a preconception consultation scheduled for Thursday, and need advice. I want to make sure I ask all of the necessary questions and get all of the necessary tests done.... I know so many of you have been through this so any suggestions/tips would be appreciated.
And I wanted to say how grateful I am that I found this site. You guys are all incredible people, and I appreciate all of the encouragement and support I have received here. It's nice to finally know after nearly five years that I am not alone.

Good luck with your appt. When I went to see the peri, he had many blood tests done. I think they took 13 vials of blood! It was to check for various blood clotting disorders, etc. You definitely want all of these tests done. There is also one test to check homosycteine levels, you have to fast before that one. All my tests came out negative.
Good luck at your appt. I hope you like the doc, that is always a good feeling!

I am right behind you. I meet with mine on Tuesday. I am so nervous. Little butterflies in my tummy already. I hope you have a great visit and really looking forward to hearing how it goes!!
Some questions (in addtion to ones on the list) I'm and concerned about are
1. How much exercise is the right amount?
2.How much Calcium is the right amount? Last time I was poppin Tums like they were going out of style and not backing them up with enough water. Got Calcium Kidney Stones...DOH. Made labor pain a breeze though.
3. I am also gonna ask about my diet and how much is the right amount to eat? I tend to get grossed out by everything when PG. Last time I lost the will to chew and lived on Ensure and Yogurt. Both are high in salt so No NO this go round.
Hope this helps you think of some questions that are special to your personal needs.
