Hello Ladies
Allison -- wish your sister good luck for me! Let us know how it all turns out!

Julie -- thanks for your well-wishes!

Elizabeth -- !!! Wow, does this mean you kinda get two shots in one month?! I too feel like my body is kind of "acting up" lately -- doing some strange things, but maybe just getting back on track since delivering in February (???) Keep us in the loop. Your husband must really be loving this! (Round number 2 of 2 x per day! Most men only dream of such a thing! Have lots of fun!)

Renee -- Welcome! Hope you get your +++ this month!

I can't even really tell when I should test, since I have no idea when I can "expect" my period to show up. I read on a different thread, something from "Maxs Mom" (Kara) -- she said her OB told her you always get your period 13-16 days after you ovulate. By that info, then, I guess I can expect that AF would show up on Saturday, if 16 days.
HOWEVER, it is "normal" for me, over the past few cycles, to spot lightly for a few days before she arrives, and no sign of that YET. Anyone else experience this? (I have had this before, and spoke to my family doctor about it, and she seemed to think it was nothing. Also recently had my annual physical, complete with pelvic exam and PAP smear, and nothing came up -- even though I read all sorts of things on the Internet that make it sound terribly abnormal).

Anyway, I'm still just waiting, and don't know what to think. One day I'm absolutely convinced we are pregnant, the next I'm bummed and pretty sure we aren't. Who knows? We shall see....

Good luck everyone, and keep updating us!

Blah - just broke down and tested and it was negative. I'm only 11 days post "O", so I'll try again on Thursday. Glad it's a 2-pack test!

I'm on cd 10 and "doing the deed" every 2 days. As I said in a previous post, I'm trying the green tea and robitussin trick. We'll see if it works. I have 2 OPK tests left and really hate to buy another pack, so I may wait and use those two on cd 12,13, and/or 14 depending on when I see CM. I failed at charting again this month....I just can't remember to do it first thing in the am.
Best luck to everyone....I'll be in the "waiting to test club" in 2 weeks--right now I'm in the "waiting to catch an egg" club---famous words from Sandy!!!

Eliabeth,
Here is the Amazon link for the book:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0926412132/qid=1089740209/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/002-8139228-6713655

It's pretty thorough and does an extensive review of charting. I thought it was helpful because it showed so many different variations of charts (irregular temps, irregular mucus, long cycles, short cycles, short luteal phase, and so on). I didn't find that it was an easy read, and there's a lot of "Catholicism" and how "birth control is a sin" so just take note of that. I personally was interested in the science and how-tos and not the moral stance of the Catholic church on sex and birth control. Good luck to you-from what you've noted about your temps, it sounds like you are totally ovulating and I'm so glad that you caught it. Keep taking your temps. Hopefully you'll notice that they stay high!!

Alimarie-hang in there girl! Don't beat yourself up for obsessing. How can you not?!? [;)]

~~hugs~~ AliMarie...its not over till the evil witch shows her colors.. definitly ask for the test! less money to you at home!

okay, so my saga of ovulation continues..lol. My temp dropped wayyyy down this morning. And get this, my dh finally ordered in a better BBT and I had taken some comparison temps last night to the cheapo BBT he bought last month and it a full degree higher!ack!(i.e. new one=98.2, old one=97.0) so this is why my temps are so low and probably why they are all over the place. ugh! I need to pick up some more opk's today since that one from yesterday was the last one, that and more hpt's. So it could be that I am now at CD28 and just Ovulating now..., or maybe that double peak thing Allison was talking about. I couldn't find any info on it anywhere. I need to go find that book you have Allison, the FAM method is how we will continue to use birth control after the next baby.

thanks for hanging in there with me girls :o)

bummed. i just counted my days again and i am only cd25 so i feel certain that this crampiness is only leading to the inevitable period. i thought i was further along. usually i have some spotting and that hasn't started yet either. i may still ask for a test anyway. who knows. maybe i am wrong and i am actually pregn. i feel like a fool for thinking every month might be my month and getting my hopes up. oh well. sorry for the rambling.

Allison,
thank you so much, you know that totally makes sense. I could only find some info on post O mucus in TCOYF but it was saying that it was your body shedding the ovum before your menses. But, it didn't mention anything about getting a positive opk also, ugh! why is my body so freaky???

I don't think your crazy at all, I am thankfull for the extra thought. I'm going to go and look up that double peak pattern stuff myself. The dh was more than happy to oblige a 2nd O...LOL I just can't believe I might have restart the clock again! ack! i was going madd as it was. He now has to go out and buy some more opk's because that was the only one I had left..lol. oh well.

thank you thank you thank you!

Elizabeth,
Alrighty, this is like a fertility charting test!! I pulled out my book, "The Art of Natural Family Planning" and went to the chapter on irregular mucus patterns. I may be completely out in left field because I have lost the art of charting, but you might have what they call a "double peak pattern." Here are the key elements: 1)You have a mucus patch and a Peak Day (defined as "the last day of the more-fertile mucus before the drying up process starts") 2)You have 4 or more days of drying up 3) Your temperature pattern stays low 4) More-fertile mucus returns, usually just for a few days 5) You have a 2nd Peak day 6) Your temp. pattern rises near the 2nd peak day

According to the book this second patch of mucus is the fertile period.

It's kind of hard to fully diagnose the "double peak pattern" because you are still in the cycle, kwim? You'll have greater insight when you either a)start your period (NO, NO, NO [}:)]) or b)temps stay elevated and you decide to test again. Even though it appears that your temps have risen, relatively speaking they are still low-not even in the 98.0s, they might rise again even more, so..... this patch of CM might be the one in which you are actually ovulating. And that OPK seemed to think so too, so put on some Marvin Gaye and get it on!!!!

So the good news, you might have caught the sneaky O.... Bad news, if you did, you're going to have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks to test. [:(!]

BTW, I could be totally off, so I apologize if you read this and think I'm crazy. There's some pretty advanced stuff in this book.

PS- Indy is TOO CUTE!!!
