hey ladies,
i had my annual and preconception visit all in one today. i am so glad it is over and so many of my questions/concerns were answered as well as some i hadn't counted on.
first i met with my new dr. in his office and we discussed thouroughly my history. i was so appreciative of his time. we talked about the possibility of a pregnancy. he answered all my questions about my care should i get pregnant. i also asked him to do a test as i am day 25 and should start any second. it came back negative. he looked at my cycle and feels sure i am not ovulating. interesting. i was wondering but we will do bloodwork on cd 21 after i start this next cycle. this could also be tied into the breast discharge i had a couple of weeks ago. i enjoyed him so much. he took his time and was so optimistic. if i find not to be ovulating they will call in clomid to start. i am excited by this prospect bc i feel it will happen quickly after that. he told me the stats but i can't remember them. can anyone tell me them? as far as the percentage of women it helps and how long it takes.
also, during my pelvic exam he found a fibroid which he had ultrasound done to check it. thankfully it is not affecting my ovaries and will probably cause no problems at all. i was not expecting this news at all and got scared of course at the possibilities but it turned out to be good news i suppose.
i am so thankful that i made an appt. to have my breast checked...they are fine by the way. i got a lot out of this appt that i didn't expect. i am hopeful for the future but impatient just the same. you girls know what i mean!!
the best news.......i found a dr. i feel is very qualified to handle my case and his optimism is catching! oh, the area i am in.....memphis, seems to be a hot bed for preeclampsia so he has had a lot of experience. thank goodness. and he will also monitor my bp as often as i feel necessary to keep my peace of mind. wow. just what i wanted
