Re : I am getting nervous
Susan - I "third" Ann Marie and Denise--have your list of questions ready. And I'm hoping that this perinatologist will listen to all of your questions and answer them, and address any concerns that you have. Having a doctor who supports you is so important, and I do hope that you've found him.
(And I agree--I hate the high blood pressure and preeclampsia!) [:(!]
Hope it all works out... Please keep us posted...

Re : I am getting nervous
Susan, I hear you! I don't mind the risks for myself, but for my future baby, that's another story. If it makes you feel better, labetalol is what two of my doctors recommended as a pregnancy-safe alternative to the other meds I'm taking.

Re : I am getting nervous
Susan ~ Good luck, I have an appt Thurs, so feel like I am in the same place. My OB has already given the ok, but want that extra ok. Still doesn't guarantee anything and I am so scared for a bad outcome again. Praying my body can do things right this time.
Best of luck, let us know how it goes.

Re : I am getting nervous
Susan....
I think we all have/had the same fears at one time or another. It is important to have a list of questions you want answered and also for the doctor to understand your fears.
I have been on Labetalol since before my preg and Currently I'm 32 weeks and Casey does not have any growth restrictions. Of course, I am well monitor and feel like I live in the doctors office but at least I know if something is going to happen I am being closely watched!

Re : I am getting nervous
Susan,
I can imagine how nervous and excited you are to meet the peri. The good thing is that you will come out with a good understanding of what your risks are and then you can make an informed decision. Do you have a list of questions to take with you so you can be sure everything is answered?? Good luck tomorrow and let us know how it goes.

I am getting nervous
Ok I meet with the Peri tomorrow. YIKES! I a so nervous. My biggest fear is that he will say that having another baby is just not a good idea. I worried that the risk involved with being pg on Labetalol will damage the growth and development of my baby. I worried the meds will damage his/her heart. Is just being pg gonna be the greatest form of child abuse my baby sees? I am totally freaked. This is just one of those huge desisons that will absolulty matter in the long run. The answer will change my life forever. I know that if I can have another baby I want to have one. But what if that baby can't grow happy and healthy inside me? [V]
