I chickened out of my peri appointment

I finally convinced my husband to give it one last try for a sibling for my son. We are planning on TTC in August '13. I had set up our pre-conception appointment with my perinatologist this coming Monday. This week I started to panic, worrying about what she might say that she didn't already say last year (that if I suffered another "catastrophic" abruption, I could die)---so I cancelled the appointment.

I know I still have time to see her before August, and at one point I will---but for now I'm just too terrified, I'm somewhat in denial and I just needed to vent.

Thanks for reading.

I understand very much that the prospect of hearing bad news would throw you into a panic. You still have time. Sending you hugs

I was scared to go to the peri to... but I'm really happy I went. Going to the peri doesn't mean you have to try right away, and more then likly they are going to want to run a bunch of test that are going to take some time. Going to the peri can also but your mind at ease. Good luck :-)

You have been through so much I am not surprised if you are not ready yet. You still have plenty of time to think about this. Maybe you just need to put this to one side for now and focus on enjoying your son for a bit longer. I wish I could say something more helpful .. good luck whatever you do.
