I know this is an old post, but I was wondering if there was an update and how things went. I am also 39 with two past PE pregnancies, and we are talking about #3. As crazy as it sounds, one of the things that scares me the most is being on magnesium sulfate right afterwards and not being able to hold my baby for 24+ hours. That happened with my son, and it was traumatizing.

I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant at soon to be 37 years old. This is my seventh pregnancy after three miscarriages and three preterm inductions due to PE. High risk pregnancies are stressful, but I'm trying to take it one day at a time.

It has been a while since I have been on this forum. I had two girls both born at 28 weeks on the same day, Dec 16 of 2003 and 2010. As I am approaching 40, I have been in baby fever for the last year. My husband and I have decided to try for a third baby. With my last pregnancy, I was hospitalized at 26 weeks and my bp was fluctuating. I ended up with a placental abruption and was immediately taken into surgery to deliver my baby. I am wondering if there are any woman close to or over 40 who have a similar history and tried for another baby. I also have uterine didelphysis, which makes me at risk as well. So, now I have a history of PE and placental abruption, two preemie babies, uterine didelphysis, and now older age comes into play. Any feedback you can provide would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
