Planning on TTC and I need to worry out loud

DH and I are planning on TTC in Oct for sure which would give us a end July DD. He really wants to start trying in Sept which would give us a end June DD. Here's what worries me about TTC in Sept. If by chance I'd get preggos right away, I'd be at 35 weeks the day I graduate from college.

I got sick with HELLP at 34/35 weeks with DD and I'm worried that with all the extra stress of the month as well as being the time of the first HELLP, something would happen again. I ended up having DD the second to last week of the semester and had to juggle a couple exams, but my profs were all super about it. Well, with spring being my last semester and I WANT to walk across the stage at graduation, I really think we should wait. I know I'd handle being 30ish weeks pg better than the 35 weeks.

I have talked with DH about it, and he understands, but I don't think completely. He says I should be more positive, and I really am trying to be. But I just have to look at reality too, and I don't want to deal with all that stress the middle of May. He supports my decision to wait until Oct for TTC, but isn't very happy about it.

Thanks for listening, I just needed to get this out of my brain. I've been obsessing over it for the last week. I know you all would understand too. Thanks again!!

It sounds like you have thought it out in a practical manner, good for you! I would go with your gut. Walking across the staqe for graduation is a huge deal! I think you are right to wait if its how you feel. Men don't think logically when it comes to babies from what I've seen..LOL

good luck!

I agree with Elizabeth, go with your gut instinct. Although the chances are kinda slim that you will get pg the first go around it is possible...just ask Tracey! lol

That sounds perfectly reasonable to me Denise! We are waiting to ttc for our own practical reasons as well. It can be hard to wait, especially when you see everyone here getting their positives. It makes me want to get started right away, but then my practical side takes over. There are reasons I don't want a June baby, so I am trying to stay clear of that month by at least 6 weeks, which would put us into August. Sounds silly to some, but with our experience, you have to think of those things. I am glad you came here to "vent", you know that's what we are here for. Things will turn out for the best however they happen. Keep us posted!

I agree about going with your gut. I am actually doing a similar thing. We are trying next cycle, I waited a few extra cycles due to the timing with my work. I had my daughter at 30 weeks and I want to be prepared to be on bedrest before then. Guess all of us with PE experiences think like that, so it isn't just you!!!!

Best of luck in October!!!!

I'm with the other ladies, go with your gut. You've earned the right to walk across that stage!

Ooooh, I've gotta say it too: go with your gut!
It makes perfect sense to me to want to reduce your stress level as much as possible.

(Tina: you are toooo funny! But absolutely right! [;)])

Thanks again. I know we probably won't get pg right away, but knowing that I'm leery of being due in June, I probably WOULD get pg. Just my luck.[:o)][;)]

It's just so hard seeing everyone getting a +++ here, and I just found out that a girlfriend of mine is expecting again. I've got 4 girlfriend now that are pg. I've got baby on the brain, that's for sure![;)][:D] It's also difficult because those who already have kids had the "perfect" pg and births, so they take things for granted that things will go okay. My one friend can't really understand why I'm so worried about getting sick again. Of course, she hasn't really listened to anything I've said about HELLP and pre-e, so she just doesn't understand the risks we take. Oh well.
