I also had a mirena. Though I bled ALOT with it, and I had just had a period about 10 days before I had it taken out. I had some heavy spotting for about 4 days after having it removed. And well, got pg about 2-3 wks after getting it taken out. Unfortunately, I m/c after that. HTH

Just re-read previous posts...and no, they didnt do any tests before, and they didnt offer any either. I did ask, and was told that they don't test in advance... (probably a money thing here with the NHS). The other thing I didnt mention is that there are 4 consultants in the high-risk team, and I have already met 3 of them with Ellie so I feel happier with that. One of them is the woman who did my c-section and she is a recognised pre eclampsia specialist in my part of the UK.
