Hello everyone,
Megan was born on Valentine's Day! She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz. She is twice the size Maya was and is perfectly healthy. First of all, I have to apologize for not letting everyone know sooner, but everything happened so fast and I have been a little out of it. Leslie, I'm sorry I did not call you, things have been a little upside down.
We ALL came home together last night and this is the first chance I have had to sit down. Unfortunately this pregnancy was not pre-e free like I had hoped. On Sunday night I realized that after 6 Tylenol my headache was not going away so I checked my bp and there it was 143/90. So I called the dr. and he told me to go to the hospital. Dummy me, I thought they would put me in the observation unit for a little while and send me home. You would think I would know better than to think this. My bp continued to go up and I could not get rid of the headache. They said I was negative for protein which was very strange since I have had at least a trace at every dr. visit since the 32nd week. The dr. on call decided it was better to be safe than sorry so I was induced Monday morning and at 3:05 p.m. she was here. I was on mag for 24 hours and between that and the morphine and the nubain, my head did not clear up until sometime yesterday. Now I am home and dealing with an overexicited 5 year old and a newborn so if I sound a little crazy it is because right now I feel like I am. I am going to go now because I feel like I am rambling and need a nap. Take care, I will post more later.
