WAT 2006 and The March of Dimes

Hi AZ Members:

The 2006 WAT is approaching and we need publicity! We would love to reach out to the public and have walkers from outside the PF join us on May 6th.

A few members have suggested we reach out to the March of Dimes and try to gain publicity at their walk. Does anyone have a connection with the MoD in AZ? Any ideas?

I have contact with the mod in az. I am actually going to a meeting today at st. joes with the mod. I volunteer with their nicu family support there.

Hi Holly: That sounds wonderful....both the mod contact and your work with NICU support!

If you have an opportunity to talk about the PF WAT, please do. We would love to have our info going out to their WAT participants. How would be go about doing this?

Is there anything we can do on a state level to support their efforts?

Let me make a few phone calls and get back to you on it. I do know that their big event which is walkamerica is starting up and the first one in Phoenix is on April 1st so let me ask how we can advertise at that.

I participated in WalkAmerica a few years ago. (It was the year it rained, so half the course was washed out.) They do an outstanding job!

That is all a great idea. Im going to give the info to my OB as well and hopefully she'll be able to get the word out as well. let me know if you need help with anything.
