...I just spoke on the phone to the family friend noted in the article.

The needs of the family right now are that they need donations of gas cards, as the father is driving quite a distance to and from the NICU (a little more than one hour each way).

I'll post back if I hear of any other tangible needs.

I've also encouraged the family friend/spokesperson to post here directly if she has the time, and I gave her this website and the (800) phone number.

I spoke with family friend Julie last week, little Abbigail passed away on January 18, 2007.
