After my delivery, I asked the nurse about the baby's APGAR scores (which were 8 & 9!!). But she told me that in Colorado they never give 10's because of the altitude. It keeps the babies from turning pink as quickly as they would at a lower altitude.

I just thought that was interesting.

That is wonderful. I was told that 10 was never ever given. They said they cheat sometimes and give 10s to other doctor's kids, but they are truely 9s.
