Making a difference in 2010....

Hello!

I am reaching out to those that are in the Indianapolis, IN area that would like to spread the word about Preeclampsia. I have nothing planned at this moment, but can't move mountains by myself. If you are interested, please let me know. I really wanted to do a walk, but the closest walks this year are in Chicago and one in Michigan. I have a 14 month old and no family in town, so it is hard for my husband and I get away for weekends. Would love to hear from you if you are interested in helping organize a walk or other awareness events here in Indy.

Hello Kellie,

I have written you an email about the possibility of starting up an Indianapolis Walk. I tried my hand at it in 2006.

Hi Ladies,

Please feel free to contact me about hosting a Friends and Family walk this summer or a 2011 Promise Walk. I will be happy to help you form a walk in your area!

Timeless Beauty, I replied via email a couple of days ago. I hope you got the message. Please feel free to call me. I supplied my phone number.

Becky, I would love to chat more about this with you as well as I'm not really sure where to start. Looks like you do! What is the difference between the F & F and a Promise Walk?? I am assuming the size. Look forward to hearing back from both of you.

Has anyone ever participated in an event like this? Seems like a great place to spread awareness.

Indy Baby Expo
Location: Indiana State Fairgrounds
Dates:
Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 10:00am-5:00pm
Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 11:00am to 4:00pm

Stats on who attends:
# Percent of attendees that had at least one child: 72%
# Percent of attendees that were expecting: 60%

http://www.indybabyexpo.com/
Thought it might be a good idea, but again, can't do this by myself. Would would love to hear from anyone that thinks it's a good idea or that would like to help

Kellie,

Yes! We are currently pushing forward a baby fair initiative. You can request an education grant from the PF to cover costs associated with the booth. I know we do have a few Indy ladies that will hopefully chime in.

I'm in Louisville, ky not to far from Indy and would love to help out if I could. My husband and I are runners and have ran the indianapolis mini marathon. Please let me know if we can help. I could certainly spread the word if you do get a walk together at all of our local rubbing shoe stores. They have many groups that get together weekly...

Kara,
I just sent you an email, Yes! I want to move forward on the baby fair initiative! As I stated in my email, I think we need to chat over the phone. Much easier than the back and forth emails. Just let me know what works for you.

Sarah!
Yeah! I would LOVE your help. We need to chat more about this too! I will email you my phone number and we can talk. Then once we get this up and going maybe you can motivate me to start running again! :-) I say again like it was a month or so ago, who am I kidding, it's been since high school cross country. FYI...saw the cardiologist last week and I got a great report, things look good.

Becky and TB...are you still interested?

Yes, still interested and emailed you a different email address to respond to. I am sorry but I didn't see your email response in my other email address so I am offering a new one to make sure I get the message.
