Early spring baby!!

Not bad, today AR is experiencing 1 inch of light snow and the roads are insane. However, schools are open, unlike yesterday when there was no precipitation on the streets of our state capitol, but a snow day was declared nevertheless. I've had to make two trecherous trips to school so far today. First with kid, then return trip with lunch money, so the break from yesterday has been wiped out. There was hardly anyone there and the principal was doing her nut... they might yet close LOL!

Hey Capt - send that snow down here to Monroe - I am ready for an early start to the weekend! Plus the boy has tests today that his bad, bad parents didn't make him study for...we need a reprieve LOL.

And you know, I'll bet people in Pennsylvania right now are cracking up at the fact that schools and businesses in the south shut down over 1 inch of snow...heh.

Oh please Alex!! The headless chicken dance is in full swing. DH just phoned from Chloe's daycare where he has been drummed into service because the majority of the staff have not shown up for work. There's just the principal and DH and 12 tinys and toddlers right now!!!!! Mostly the traffic is just messed up, but the chaos is great. You don't want this really you don't. Poor Finn missed Quiz Bowl yesterday and he was so proud of being one of only two 4th graders on his school's team.

Aw, poor Finn :(. That's a bummer. Will he get a chance for a rematch?

I am grinning at the image of your DH working in the daycare...does this mean the school can now charge extra since they have a Ph.D on staff? More intellectual enrichment opportunities than a Baby Einstein video! ROFL

We had a touch - by that I mean like 5 minutes worth - of sleet 2 weeks ago here. It was pandemonium. Parents lined up in front of the school to get their kids, people wrecking their cars left and right, state offices shut down, all the bottled water sold out at the grocery store.

All I can say is, it's snowing in Pittsburgh. [:D]

It snowed in Phoenix two weeks ago -- was actually warmer in Pitt -- and when I flew back I brought the snow with me.

When I was in colorado they still had school when it snowed 16 inches!!! I gues we got 4 wheel drive buses up there in the mountains:) Here in chicago 5 is the high for sunday......Go Bears!!!!

Early Spring, this means I need to get my car fixed (so cold here the battery died and my fuel line froze and burst) or get a new car. <sigh> .... that means working on my taxes this weekend, clearing out the house for painting projects once I can open the windows and sort all clothing for garage sale material. Ahhh yes .. Spring means warm weather to some, work for others, or both. LOL

Better increase the number of sit ups to get in shape for those shorts earlier than originally thought.

Who does woodworking?? I need an afghan stand!! lol

You should know that we've had 8 (count 'em) snow closure dates! And, for amounts less than 2 inches, I might add. I don't think I had 8 days off for "inclimate weather" in my entire schooling in Montreal. I am just blown away by the chaos that ensues here after a snow or a frost. . . and I live in the Pacific Northwest for pete's sake!!!
