PE and condom use question

I recently read some info. about a link between PE and condom use, and it fascinated me. My husband and I have used condoms for years. We stopped them for one month and got pregnant right away with Cassius.

The issue is that while ovulating, your body will accept the "foreign invader" sperm, but there will be * to pay later when your body has an immunity issue with the DNA growing inside you that is half of your husband's and hence PE results. This is just one theory, but it is interesting to me.

Did any of you hear about PE and condoms/barrier methods? Were any of you using them and think there could be link for you?

Any chance you could find links/references to what you were reading? I think many of us would be interested in reading it too.

From what you said (reference to "immunity issue") it sounds a lot like a varient of the "dangerous partner" theory discussed in this "Ask the Experts" thread: http://www.preeclampsia.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3122

I've not heard of any links (or suggestion of links) between PE and any barrier methods (then again, I can't say as I've ever directly looked for this info before either).

I don't think I have ever heard of this either-I of course haven't looked for it. I have heard of the info in the link listed above though.

yes, I have heard about this possible connection or theory.

We did use barrier methods most of our relationship, but I had been on the pill for 3 years before I got PG though.
