You can have long term issues from PE. The way it was explained to me is that it unmasks any underlying issues that you may have had and not even known about.

It is great you are going in for more heart tests. I had a EKG, stress and 2d Echo done as well.If I were you I would request any blood work for underlying conditions such as blood clotting disorders, have your cholesterol checked...just basically a baseline cbc.

I wish you the best of luck!

preeclampsia survivor health risks

Postby kathrynmj » Thu May 20, 2010 10:42 pm

Hi I am new to this forum! I am a preeclampsia survivor and am worried about new symptoms with my health. My last bout with preeclampsia was 11 and 1/2 years ago. Now I was diagnosed with a enlarged fatty liver and I do not drink or smoke. My EKG came out abnormal two days ago and I am sceduled for more heart tests for tomorrow. Has any one else out there had long term health affects possibly related to having preeclampsia?
